Sitting With Not Knowing
How to stay in uncertainty rather than rush past it — and why it does not last forever.
A memoir
The answers were never missing. Dianne Parnell just wasn’t ready — yet. The raw, unfiltered journey of a woman who spent decades carrying wounds she didn’t choose, and courageously chose to heal them anyway.

“Life has a way of bringing us back to the one place we least want to look: the mirror.”
From the book
The book
Dianne Parnell’s life began in shadows — childhood trauma, bullying, adoption, loss, addiction and the quiet ache of wondering if she would ever belong anywhere. For years, she searched for answers outside herself, blaming circumstances, people, and pain for the chaos around her. But life has a way of bringing us back to the one place we least want to look: the mirror.
This memoir traces the moment her life cracked open, and the slow, fierce, spiritual awakening that followed. Told in phases — from the wounds she carried, through the awakening, to becoming whole — Dianne brings readers into the internal battles that shaped her, the beliefs she had to dismantle, and the healing that only became possible when she stopped running and started remembering who she truly was.
With hypnotic honesty and soul-deep clarity, she reveals the truth many of us spend our lives avoiding. The answers were never missing; they were waiting for her to be ready.
About
Dianne Parnell is a memoirist. I Don’t Know…Yet! is her account of childhood trauma, bullying, adoption, loss and addiction — and of the spiritual awakening that followed the moment her life cracked open. She writes about what happens after you stop searching outside yourself for the answer: the beliefs that have to be dismantled, the internal battles nobody sees, and the slow work of becoming whole.
Dianne is a Certified Mental Wellness Coach & Certified Professional Success Coach. Her grief, trauma, addiction, and transformation aren’t credentials so much as they are the ground she stands on when she writes — the difference between having read about the dark and having walked through it. What she offers isn’t a map to somewhere you should be going, but the company of someone who has already sat with the not knowing, and can tell you it doesn’t last forever.
Her writing is warm, honest and deeply reflective, inspired by life’s quieter moments and the truths found in stillness. Through her words, Dianne invites you to sit with uncertainty rather than rush past it, to find what peace is available in the present moment, and to trust the unfolding journey of becoming — wherever it happens to be taking you.
